Isopropyl alcohol is a colorless, flammable chemical compound with an alcohol odor. It also evaporates quickly, leaves nearly zero oil traces, compared to ethanol. Thus, it is widely used as a solvent and as a cleaning fluid, especially for dissolving oils. Isopropyl alcohol was also used as a solvent for coatings or for industrial processes.
